[15-09-2009] Back into productivity
I am back into full workload, now in user modelling initiative within Telefónica R&D. Totally focused on a few things, and among them, ROC curves for the assessment of prediction effectiveness of models (data mining models, usually). As a by-product, but with great pleasure, I have translated the english wikipedia entry for ROC curves into spanish: http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Curva_ROC. Not yet finished but quite a faithful translation of the superb wikipedia article. Next step is including some ROC plots of myself, plus solving a contradiction that appears -and is marked as such- in the english entry.

De vuelta al trabajo, dentro de la iniciativa de "modelización de usuario", en Telefónica I+D. Estoy concentrado del todo en unas pocas cosas que me encantan, entre ellas las curvas ROC para la evaluación de la capacidad predictiva de modelos (normalmente pero no siempre de minería de datos). Como un resultado parcial, pero hecho con todo cariño, he traducido la entrada sobre curvas ROC en la wikipedia inglesa al español: http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Curva_ROC. No está todavía acabado pero he intentado ser lo más fiel posible a este estupendo artículo de la wikipedia. Los siguientes pasos serán incluir algunos gráficos ROC hechos por mí, y resolver una contradicción que aparece en el artículo inglés (y que aparece mencionado como tal pero sin explicación).
[30-06-2009] Site totally reworked
Today I have changed quite of this site. Clearer design, I should say "clearest" (of the standard ones provided by wikidot.com). Very simple structure:
Blog - News, unstructured information, knowledge captured in daily life.
CV - My curriculum vitae. Quite much changed.
Ph.D. Thesis - My thesis. Mi tesis doctoral. Truly interesting. De verdad muy interesante.
Screening - Do you know what this means? Have a look.
Psychology - All things about psychology
Usability - I have some experience on this. BTW now called User Experience, or UX, -if you do not have an acronym you are nothing.
On-line resources - On-line courses, information, my knowledge on a few things
